We were a couple on our first Christmas holiday and had booked a double room. Instead, they put us in a room with four separate single beds. The receptionist said they'd rejected our double-bed booking, but we never got an email or message about that. We paid 332€ for four days, and would have cancelled if we'd seen the room before checking in. I don't think the hostel is worth that price or welcoming to tourists. The rooms smelled bad, and the beds were really itchy. The walls were peeling, the closet had no hangers, and we used the spare beds to put our clothes on. The mirror fell at my feet on the last day and hit the side of my boots. Luckily, it didn't hit my head. The kitchen was in a terrible state the whole time we were there. The table was never wiped, and there were always dirty used dishes in the sink. They had rules that people seemed to ignore. Smoking was supposedly banned, but there were cigarette ashes and burns everywhere, and people smoked together in the hallway. Room 23 was noisy, with loud music and rap singing. On the first night I woke after midnight and told the night receptionist, who stopped it. After 4am, loud talking started again, and she scolded the three men in that room. The next few nights I stopped complaining because they didn't seem to listen. I waited until it quieted down before trying to sleep. There was a kitchen, but no mugs, spoons, pots or pans for guests. We had to use belongings of the regular renters to cook. I expected a hostel to have items guests could use, and one worker even told me, “THAT IS MINE.” I wasn't going to take it back to Portugal. The shared shower setup was ridiculous and felt unsafe and disgusting. There were no doors, only a plastic curtain, no hooks for towels or clothes, and nowhere to put shampoo or soap except the floor. We also had to leave our room key with reception whenever we went out. I didn't feel secure leaving it with them, since they could get into our room while we were gone. They also turned off the heater when we left, so the room was cold when we came back.

The check-in was late at 14h, while checkout was early at 10h. In the men's bathroom there were no clothes hangers, and you had to keep pressing the shower button for the water to run. The worst part, though, was the receptionist. She spoke to us as if she were doing us a favor, with no warmth or respect. At check-in she told us to move our luggage out of the way like a mother scolding children. My friend took a minute to enter the wifi password, and she snapped, “Quickly. I don't have time,” even though no one else was waiting. Later, when we came back and stood at the desk to hand over the key, she ignored us until I tapped it on the table to get her attention, then gave us an angry look. After checkout on our last day, we asked if we could leave our luggage until 16pm because we weren't leaving Prag until late at night. We knew it was an exception, but other hostels we'd stayed at had let us do this if we agreed on a time. She refused, saying there was no space, although the room was almost empty. I wouldn't recommend staying here. The place and staff need to change, or they'll keep acting as if guests need them and they can do whatever they like.

Autumn was coming, and the view really surprised me, it was so beautiful. The receptionist, or perhaps the owner, was the only person who spoke English; the others didn't. My room felt a little dirty and spooky, with dim lighting. Staying here felt like getting jumpscared. Still, it was an unforgettable, memorable experience 😉👍

I was ill when we arrived, and the woman at reception told us to “SHUT UP.” She couldn't speak English, so we could barely understand each other. We had to pay 1650 krone, about 20 € more than the booking price. The room had no lights, no heat, and no socket to charge my phone. I can't even get into the cleaning, but at least show some manners. I'm at a loss for words. Paying to be treated like this is shameful and disrespectful. What a pity.

The area is pleasant, with parks and sports activities nearby. But the hostel itself is one of the worst I've seen, and feels more like a workers' lodge. They warn you at reception that smoking isn't allowed, yet there are ashes in the toilets and kitchen, and smoke gets everywhere, even with the windows closed. Don't follow Google Maps if it sends you through the nice park. It's fine by day, but a bit creepy at night. Walk along the road with the same name as the hostel instead. Some beds and wardrobes look homemade. The beds are so hard you might as well sleep on the floor. The showers may be new, but the radiator is rusty and there are no towel hooks. You have to press and hold a button to keep the water running, so maybe take some yoga classes first. The water also gets so hot that one day I had to wash in bursts of a second at a time. The reception staff were so friendly I felt like I was back behind the iron curtain. Strongly don't recommend.
