Hotel Arko

The late check-in email made arriving late really easy, and the reception staff were friendly and spoke English well. It was affordable and close to a very fast train connection. Still, I wouldn’t call it a great hotel. Some rooms looked renovated and much more modern, but ours had two single beds and hadn’t been updated. The beds were worn and uncomfortable, and the loose sheets exposed the worn mattresses whenever we moved. There also wasn’t an outlet beside either bed, which was annoying. In short, it was okay, at best.

Our flight was cancelled overnight, and being able to book and check in around midnight using the self check-in service was a real relief. Although the hotel is on the opposite side of Prague from the airport, getting there by bus and metro at night was quick. The location has a lot nearby, including shops, a pharmacy, restaurants, McDonalds, and Metro line C just five minutes away. The rooms and bathroom were cosy and nice. We really enjoyed our stay at hotel Arko.

A little dated, but clean, with a good breakfast choice and close to the metro.

For a two-night stay for two people, we paid 135e, with breakfast costing about 25e including some taxes for both people and both days. The price was acceptable for a basic hotel with breakfast and parking. Rooms were clean and the breakfast wasn’t bad, and the receptionists were very polite and spoke English perfectly. The rooms are really small, though that wasn’t much of a problem for us. There was only one free electrical outlet, on the other side of the room, with none by the bed. The bathroom was clean but could use a little maintenance. The walls are very thin, so we could hear people in the next room talking and taking a bath. There’s not much around the hotel, though the subway and bus station are just a few minutes away. Not a bad place to sleep over.
