Martin was especially helpful and arranged a Taxi for us to the train station for our trip to Vienna. The management were friendly too. We loved the breakfast, and the room was clean and roomy, with a super comfortable bed and pillows. The hotel is right by the Charles Bridge. We fell for the cobbled street out front, with its maple trees and gas lamps. Prague Castle, the Old Town Square and its Astronomical Clock, the Jewish Quarter and the bridge are all within walking distance. We'd pick this hotel again next time we're in Prague.

Our room was number 10 on the top floor, and the views of Prague from every window were breathtaking. It's just 10m from the Charles bridge and close to everything. The room itself was modern, very clean and comfortable, with lots of character from the wooden beams and floors. The bathroom had a tub as well as a walk-in shower with a rain maker and great water pressure. Staff at reception and in the on-site restaurant were so helpful, and patient with our lack of Czech. We were there in March, and the area was already busy. I imagine summer gets pretty intense. The rooms with the best views are higher up. It's an old building, so there's no elevator, just narrow, winding stairs. I didn't mind and thought it added charm, but anyone with disabilities may want a lower floor. There were food and mulled wine vendors in the courtyard out front all week, which was a nice bonus. This might be the best hotel experience I've had. If my wife and I make it back to Prague, we're staying here again.

We had a top-floor room with fantastic views, and the staff we met were friendly and helpful. There's a good restaurant and very nice rooms, all at a very reasonable price. The hotel is on Kampa Island beside the Charles Bridge, so it's easy to explore the area on foot. We'd definitely stay again.

The staff's attitude was the hardest part of the stay. We never got a smile and often felt like we were bothering them just by being there. At €200 a night, the experience didn't come close to what we expected. The Junior Suite with View also didn't deliver much of a view of the Carl Bridge. The attic-style windows are so small that you can barely see anything. And the room layout was awkward: the shower is fully open, with no division between the bedroom and bathroom. That won't work for everyone if you don't want to shower in full view of your companion. The location is good, though.
