Hotel Tivoli Prague

The airport transfer was very comfortable, which is why I gave the hotel an extra star. Its only real advantage otherwise is being somewhat close to the center. The building and room felt like they came straight from the old socialist era. The shower cabin was so unappealing that I didn’t even want to step in, and the sink and toilet smelled bad. The two single beds pushed together were uncomfortable and creaky. There’s no balcony, terrace, or room where smoking is allowed, so smokers aren’t treated fairly here. We opened the window and smoked once. The next day they noticed and left a note saying we’d be charged a 40 euro fine if we did it again. Fair enough, it was our mistake, and they kindly gave us a second chance. The funny thing is, the note was written on the back of another one addressed to a previous guest, who’d been charged a 20 euro fee for foundation stains on the sheets. Shouldn’t cleaning linens and pillowcases be part of the hotel’s operating expenses?

The room was a good size for two, and room 306 was clean with comfortable beds, okay furniture, a functional bathroom, and a hairdryer. The temperature was just right, not too cold or too hot. A coffee machine in the room would have made it perfect. The only issue was how loud the footsteps from upstairs were, sometimes enough to make you think the guests might fall through the ceiling. The staff were very kind, and I have nothing bad to say about their service. The location is good, fairly close to places of interest though outside the city center. You can walk to different places, including the central station, in just 10 minutes. I recommend this hotel and would return without thinking too much about it.

A really cozy, clean hotel for the price, with friendly staff and a safe location. The room was really big, and the bed was clean and comfortable. It just needs a kettle.

I woke up with intense itching after bed bugs bit my arm. There were 2-3 of them, and you can see the photos. The room looked clean and the location is nice, but appearances aside, this is not a hygienic place.
