Iris Hotel Eden - Czech Leading Hotels

We stayed two nights and found it simple, easy accommodation. The rooms were clean and had the basics, and the shopping mall was within walking distance. By car, the city centre was close enough. There was free outdoor parking, and the buffet breakfast was straightforward but good quality, with what we needed to start the day. We liked having the bar to unwind in after exploring. The postcards in the room and a magnet at checkout were thoughtful touches.

The room had good equipment and was fine for a weekend, especially for the price. In the evening, two men at reception were really friendly and helpful, top service. My first encounter there was very different: the receptionist was impatient, interrupted me, and didn't say please or thank you. At breakfast, the main area was full, so we ended up in a dark room without windows. The bread was very hard, though the rest of the food was okay. That first unfriendly interaction left a bad impression, so the stay felt mixed.

Our two-night stay at the Iris Hotel Eden was let down by the service and management, despite the clean, good rooms. The Wi-Fi was extremely poor, almost nonexistent. We raised it with management several times, but they kept giving us dishonest answers instead of fixing it. Breakfast was called "legendary," yet in my experience with hotels it was very average. On our last day there were no tomatoes at all; the day before, they were dry and old. Clean rooms don't make up for the poor service and lack of transparency. I wouldn't recommend it if reliable internet and fresh, high-quality breakfast matter to you.

The reception staff were really welcoming and even gave us cookies as a New Year's gift. We stayed two days with friends; our room was very clean and had a high-tech TV, and the location was good with a shopping centre nearby. We didn't eat at the restaurant because its staff were unfriendly. For the money, though, it was worth it.
