Lindner Hotel Prague Castle, part of JdV by Hyatt

The room felt basic and short on comfort, with a view straight onto bushes and overgrown plants. The atmosphere came across more budget than premium. We also had several extra portable surveillance cameras installed along the third-floor hallway during two days of our stay. That felt uncomfortable and gave the impression something unusual or governmental might be happening nearby, whatever the reason. As Hyatt Globalists, we got little meaningful recognition or benefit: no upgrade was offered, although availability seemed open around the property, and the welcome amenity was just three cookies. It was a major disappointment on the trip.

Tanja at the bar was lovely, friendly and easy to chat with, and made the place feel relaxed and personal. The drinks were good quality, and the food and desserts turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The Lindner Hotel itself is modern, clean, comfortable, and welcoming. I’d happily return.

The staff were consistently helpful and friendly, especially Olva, Ilia and Elena. We had a good stay at this charming hotel, which is in a quiet spot with places easy to reach on foot or by transit. Prague Castle is within walking distance. Some parts could use updating, but overall the experience was good.

We were given a queen bed instead of the king we’d booked, but the team really tried to make our stay enjoyable and offered complimentary breakfast. The food was among the best we’ve had, better than at many five-star hotels. Staff were exceptionally welcoming, and this is a pleasant, quieter part of Prague. Some furniture and the restroom door felt old and didn’t work perfectly, though everything was maintained well enough and was more than acceptable for the price. We’d consider coming back.
