The location of Penzion Manes is ideal, with reasonable prices and good nightlife nearby, including fine restaurants, pubs, and some lovely parks for a walk. Natalia and all the staff made my time there wonderful. It felt like a blessing to be away from home and have such caring, friendly people looking after my every need. I'd highly recommend Manes to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Prague.
This was the worst place to stay. You can hear everything from the other rooms and the neighbors, plus noisy mornings from the street. It's really annoying, and there's no way to contact the owners to discuss your complaints.
Great.
The only real problem was the welcome. The woman who greeted us didn't speak English and gave us no explanation of the apartment, so bring a translator. Otherwise, the apartment is in a quiet area but still close to restaurants, a bakery for breakfast, and even a hypermarket. It's near Wenceslas Square and under 2 km from the city center, so you can explore Prague on foot. If you don't feel like walking, the metro is about five minutes away.
I spent five lovely days there from the end of February to the beginning of March. The place is peaceful and very clean, the setting is lovely, and everything is brand new. The Booking.com photos match the actual place. It's well located for getting around the whole city. I highly recommend it.
