Alex is always attentive to guests and service, and his artistic touch gives the place its own character. Paintings, posters, lighting, and other decor make it feel like a home away from home. I stay at Alex’s Atelier12 whenever I come back to Prague. It’s a little gem in Prague 6. The location is hard to beat, just steps from Metro Hradcanska and several tram lines, with Prague castle a brisk 10-12 minute walk away.
The staff were friendly, and breakfast was really good. Hradcanska metro station is close by, too.
Such a cozy, fun stay!
I only spent one night here, but it was a great stay. The room was roomy, comfortable, and quiet. The area is green, with lots of parks, which I appreciated while walking my dog. It’s right by Prague Castle but away from the tourist noise. The owner was incredibly welcoming and speaks excellent English, so it was easy to communicate. : )
The owner was friendly, and breakfast was generous and fresh, with good coffee, even if it was American style. My room was large. Wi-Fi worked at reception, but the thick walls kept the signal out of the rooms. Parking costs money, either at the meter on the street or at a nearby lot, which also accommodates buses, for about €10 a day. It’s near a bus stop and supermarket, around a 15-minute walk from the center and close to the castle. The only thing we didn’t like was the dust and a few spiders. We Italians found it a bit much.
