Penzion A Restaurace Simanda

The rooms were good, and we really enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake and all the trees. The local restaurant downstairs serves delicious food. Staff were nice and the service was good. It’s a pleasant penzion, close to the train station, though not in the centre.

We liked our stay enough to extend it. The food was tasty and the portions generous, and the location right by the train stop made getting into Prague centre simple, just 10 minutes with no stress. The staff were lovely, especially Adela, who was always cheerful and very helpful. The shower flow was quite weak, though I guess that might have been temporary because of repairs. Greetings to Adela and the whole team. We’ll come back next year and stay longer :)

We’ve been back to Simanda five times and keep loving it. It feels like home, and it’s a great base for exploring Prague, getting a feel for Czech life, and trying traditional local food. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We’ve stayed in three different rooms over the years, and each time it was clean, comfortable, and spacious, with comfy beds and cotton sheets. The location works really well too, just two train stops from central Prague, under 10 minutes. We’d highly recommend it.

Really good goulash, served in a big portion at a nice price.
