Pivovar

That balcony is a real highlight. Hotel Pivovar has a large, well-equipped smoking balcony with tables, chairs, small and large ashtrays, and a lovely view. It’s a peaceful spot to enjoy a coffee or another drink and smoke. The hotel itself doesn’t have smoking rooms, like other hotels, but this setup makes up for it. Staff are friendly and the service is excellent. Food is always fresh, there’s a good range of drinks, and the coffee machine has plenty of choices. Receptionists are calm, welcoming, and ready to help at any hour, even making an espresso late at night. It’s in a quiet location, with car, bus, and tram connections to the city centre. A very easy hotel to recommend.

The location worked really well for us, with the metro at Vysocanska and a shopping mall about five minutes away on foot, and O2 Arena roughly fifteen minutes away. Parking is available too. We were pleasantly surprised by the room: our double on the first floor had a terrace, was spacious, and everything worked. Staff spoke English, were friendly and clear, and handled our two requests quickly. Breakfast had a better than average selection of tasty Czech options, with nothing to complain about. For a three-star place, it was great value. I rarely write hotel reviews, but I’d recommend this one.

Breakfast was a real pleasure, with lots to choose from and nothing that left me dissatisfied. The staff were easygoing and able to communicate in several languages. Rooms were clean and cozy, and the hotel is close to both the metro and shopping centre, about a five-minute walk, as well as O2 arena for concerts and other events. The value for money is excellent. I’d put it first on my list for another trip to Prague.

The receptionists were welcoming and helpful, and the location is convenient for the metro, shopping, banks, and other things you might need. Breakfast is simple but has a bit of everything. I’m gluten-free, and the ladies there were happy to help when I asked. I visited at the beginning of August this year and would recommend staying here. The one thing missing from the room is coffee and tea facilities. Apart from that, everything was great.
