Prague Boutique Residence

The city center location was great, but the rooms are separate from the front desk, about a 5-8 minute walk away. You collect the keys from a box on the ground floor. The male reception staff were pleasant. On my last day, though, a female staff member was rude and unhelpful on the phone, which affected my experience.

The room and bathroom were clean, and they did a good job cleaning every day. We had an amazing stay and would happily return. There was a large fan in our room and another spare in the shared kitchen, so even in mid July the lack of AC wasn't a problem for us. They also left two complimentary coffees in the room and a jug of fresh water with glasses each day. The wardrobe safe was easy to use, and the door had a sturdy lock and latch. The big tradeoff is the noise at night. If you want to sleep between 8 and 11, this probably isn't the place for you. It's right in the city center, across from a popular bar, and Friday and Saturday can get loud. If you're out late making the noise yourself, the location is great for getting back from any bar. We were glad we picked the location despite the noise. The man at the desk explained everything well and was very helpful. We checked out at 11 but weren't leaving the city until 6, and he let us leave our bags in the front office.

The hotel was clean, and the staff cleaned our room well during our two day stay. There's a small kitchen where you can make coffee in the morning, and check in and checkout are handled by a machine. The central location is convenient, but the noise made it hard to sleep. Thin windows let in tourists partying until dawn, and in the morning I could hear a loud machine. Security was lacking too: the main door was broken and there was no security at the entrance.

Friendly staff, good wifi, and a clean, modern room with coffee and a fridge. The price was very good, and the location worked perfectly for a few days in Prague. I took off a star because it could get noisy, and the bathroom light had a mind of its own, which was pretty annoying.
