Prague Season

We stayed five days in December and came away disappointed. The hotel feels closer to three stars than four. The location is handy for public transport, the street was quiet at night, and the room looked renovated, with a nice double window. A heated bathroom radiator warmed the small room quickly. The one soap at the sink and one in the shower worked for hands, hair and body. Breakfast was just okay. Housekeeping was poor. They took out the garbage but never cleaned the floor or changed the bedsheets, which had black lint on them. The sink was also dirty. Towels seemed clean and were changed three times, but only after we asked. The room was much smaller than the photos, and what should have been a double bed was two singles pushed together with their mattresses and sheets. There was no phone, fridge or hotel slippers. We could hear people outside the door because the soundproofing was weak. The old elevator failed once. The hotel has two sections with a parking lot between them, and crossing it felt dangerous because visibility was poor. The room door didn’t lock, and the power shut off when we took the key card, so we couldn’t leave devices charging. Staff seemed indifferent and didn’t speak English. The receptionist spoke a little but didn’t make a real effort to help. Smiling alone isn’t enough for customer service.

The breakfast was really good, with hot dishes as well as cakes, salads, yogurt, fruit and cereal. The hotel is well located, clean and well maintained, and the rooms are pleasantly quiet. Recommended.

Comfy beds and a good breakfast got us ready for the day. It’s a basic place, but suited our budget break in Prague perfectly, and AP Pavlova metro station is only a short walk away.

The receptionist, a university student, was very kind and cooperative. Breakfast was perfect, with every kind of choice you could imagine. The hotel was clean and safe, just a few minutes from public transport and about a 10-minute walk to the Old Town. I strongly recommend it.
