The food was unbelievable in the worst way. There were eggshells in dinner the first night, the meat was tough the next, and every morning the bread was hard enough to feed a rabbit. The hotel was also incredibly noisy, with a hospital and main road nearby. The toilet and sink are in separate rooms, and there were cracks in the ceiling. How did this place get four stars?

This hotel is terrible. The staff are rude, and the breakfast is very, very bad. There aren’t enough chairs in the restaurant, so around 100 people are waiting to get in for breakfast, only to find food more suited to a two-star hotel.

The room carpet was absolutely filthy, the walls had suspicious marks, including shoeprints, stains, and scrawls, and there was some suspicious electrical work. The TV was just a monitor. The mini-bar fridge was empty and warm, and the Wi-Fi barely worked on the fourth floor. There weren’t enough seats at breakfast either. There’s no air conditioning, just a dingy fan, no matter how often I mention it. The toilet and bath are in separate rooms for some unholy reason. This barely qualifies as a hotel. It advertises four stars, but I’d say two at best, maybe if you squint. I’ve stayed in plenty of seedy, strange hotels, and this was the worst. It seems specifically set up to fleece tour-goers, probably because tour companies get it so cheap. If you’re visiting Prague for tourism or a vacation, avoid this place if you can. It’s the worst of the worst.

My dog was so bothered by all the noise that I ended up covering the bathroom floor and sleeping there. The room wasn’t soundproof at all, and we could hear everything from the street and the other rooms. Check-in took the receptionist about 20 minutes, and the staff didn’t communicate well in English. I was greeted with, “ah, are you the girl with the dogs? We heard about you.” When I went back to reception in the morning, I was met with hostility again. Breakfast had very few vegetarian options. I emailed my complaints, but the only response I got was that they’d been forwarded, in a message from staff with writing errors. If you have dogs, I don’t recommend it. As a native English speaker and a vegetarian, you may have problems too. The place is extremely far from the center of Prague, so I can’t recommend it.
