Royal Plaza

We paid for a room that was meant to be warm and comfortable, but it was freezing in the middle of February. When we complained, reception said they knew there was a problem with the windows and couldn't repair it until spring. How can they keep renting rooms when basic upkeep like this isn't being handled? Horrible. Avoid it if you don't want to feel like you're sleeping outside.

We were especially grateful to the evening receptionist and the Kazakh woman working in the morning. We don't remember their names, but both were friendly, understanding, and ready to help. The rooms met our expectations, and getting to the metro or tram was easy from this perfect location. We'd love to plan another trip to Prague.

The room was pleasant and had useful extras like a TV, coffee machine, and fridge, though the shower couldn't be adjusted. Breakfast is ordered at reception and seems to come as a set meal rather than a buffet, and you use a regular key instead of a card. Neither is necessarily bad, just a bit different from what you might expect. Also, the receptionists may not speak English, so have a translation app ready if your Czech isn't fluent.

She was unpleasant and rude. The receptionist first said a room was available, but when I tried to book it she got angry, said the room was actually empty, and sent me out.
