The design is striking and unusual, and the building is a real feat of architecture. Up close, though, its character feels a little diminished by Prague's historic buildings and beautiful surroundings. I think it would look astounding on a modern high street or standing on its own, but against the city's scenery it falls a bit flat. Still amazing to see.

The building has offices, a hotel, an art gallery, and a rooftop restaurant with panoramic views of Prague Castle and the Vltava River. You can spot Prague's standard red and white trams, including the classic T3 models, on lines throughout the city and along scenic river routes. In Prague's New Town, this famous deconstructivist building has a cute, modern design. It's also called "Fred and Ginger," after the dancers Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. The design has two towers, a solid "Fred" and a curved "Ginger." Architects Vlado Milunić and Frank Gehry designed it, and it was completed in 1996.

It's an iconic, eye-catching stop and makes for nice photos, thanks to its unusual modern design. We planned to go to the café on the top floor, but after seeing the building outside, we decided to skip it. The Dancing House is worth a quick look, especially if contemporary architecture is your thing. Still, Prague has so many beautiful historic buildings and classic landmarks that we chose to spend our time exploring those instead. For us, this wasn't a must-see compared with the rest of the city.

The city views are great, and the sky deck is well worth the drink you have to buy to get onto the viewpoint. The seating area is quite small, but sunrise is especially nice there.
