Penzion Pod hůreckým vrchem

After walking to Lake Laka, we stopped by this restaurant, but left without eating because of the waiter’s behavior. When I asked about a free table, he seemed reluctant and answered arrogantly, “We have what you see here, sit down with someone.” His manner and appearance didn’t seem professional either. I found the whole interaction inappropriate and unprofessional, and can’t recommend the restaurant unless the staff’s attitude changes.

The rooms are simply furnished, but clean and perfectly fine for a night’s sleep. We ate breakfast and dinner there, and both were excellent. You get used to it quickly. The owner is nice, and maybe we’ll come back sometime.

My partner and I stayed for a week in June and loved it. It’s a small guesthouse with really nice owners, and a great fit if you want a quiet, family-like atmosphere and accommodation in the Šumava style that blends with the nature around it. The location is great, and the owners can suggest trips. One evening they served delicious blueberry dumplings in the cozy pub, which made us feel right at home. They even lent us their electric bikes. We’re already looking forward to coming back! 😊
