Congress And Educational Centre Floret

I’ve lived in Pruhonice for a while and used to think of Floret as a leftover from communist times. The building, interior, and some services still have that feel. But when Indonesia’s national hockey teams stayed there for two weeks, mainly because it’s near the indoor hall at the local school, the rooms were clean, service was OK, and the team had a good time. It’s not a top hotel, so keep your expectations modest, but it’s a solid no-frills place to stay in Pruhonice. Hotel manager Mrs. Vlaskova was especially helpful and quick to respond. I’d also contacted the hotel next door, but my email seemed to get lost and they only got back to me weeks later. There are two buildings about 200 meters apart, so check which one you’ll be sleeping in before you arrive. For nearby stops, grab a croissant at #Paloma or #WineFood, then visit the park. Both are a few minutes away. After your walk, #Coffee59Brunch is in the castle courtyard for coffee or a light bite.

The pool was a great temperature and ideal for kids’ swimming lessons. Outside, the place looks nice, though the interior feels a bit cheap. The pool caretaker, an older woman, was loud and surly, and her attitude could really shock people.

I was disappointed when we arrived and learned we couldn’t use the pool because it was rented by another company. We’d booked this hotel because pool access was included in the price.
