Penzion U řízků

The food we could eat was average at best, and the service was shocking. The pork was so fatty that we couldn't cut it with a knife, so we sent it back. The owner, a biker, came out to argue, and the staff were argumentative too. Awful place. Avoid.

My Czech husband came in with our son about ten seconds after I asked for a table, and the waitress offered him a spot in the back. When I arrived, she asked if I wanted to eat, then said they were full. I asked how long the wait might be and she told me 20 minutes or more, so I said okay. It left me feeling that foreigners aren't welcome unless they come with someone Czech.

We waited 52 minutes and nobody apologized. At 2pm, about 90% of the food was fried, and there were very few vegetarian choices, maybe none. The food itself was completely standard, with no added value. Just sad Czech classics.

Fun. The menu was eight pages long and in Czech. When we asked for help translating, they said, “We have schnitzel, chicken, pork or pig.”
