The owners were very pleasant, and the guesthouse has a homey, family feel, with dogs around the yard and things spread about. That style may not be for everyone, and the place could use a bit more tidying. The presentation online also needs more photos of the grounds and exterior, since it mostly shows the rooms. The rooms were pleasant, clean, and had the basics: a bed, wardrobe, and bathroom. They felt a bit old-fashioned, and there were cobwebs that could have been swept away. Breakfast was generous enough, with a few slices of cheese and ham or salami, sometimes an egg, plus coffee, tea, and juice. It was served in a pleasant space, though that room could be tidier too, with decorations and assorted things placed around. Dinner is served indoors or on the terrace. There’s plenty to choose from, mostly Czech classics like Smazák and fried schnitzel. The food tasted great but was almost always far too salty. The beer was a complete disaster, with foam like a cap that takes away all its taste. There’s also a swimming pool, but it was so unpleasantly green and full of algae that I didn’t want to swim in it after hiking all day.

My boyfriend and I would be happy to come back. We were very satisfied with the pleasant surroundings, lovely owners, and great food. It’s a wonderful base for lots of beautiful trips. Thank you.

There’s plenty to do nearby, from horseback riding and cycling through the landscape to hiking. The place was clean, the food excellent, and the staff’s approach to guests was very kind. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay.

The owners are friendly, and families with children might enjoy touring the homestead and seeing the animals they keep. There are lots of possible trips in the beautiful surrounding landscape. The simply furnished rooms were clean and had lovely views, and the historic homestead made for a peaceful, relaxing stay.
