The trouble started when we arrived on March 9: our room had been given to someone else, so we had to wait while staff prepared a spare. The young woman at the Helas reception was unpleasant and rude throughout. We felt as if our arrival, payment, and politeness were causing her a lot of trouble. We also hadn’t been told where to park, so we left our cars in front of the apartment building. The next morning, the police had locked the wheels. Instead of going skiing, we had to call them. Oddly, no other cars had been locked. Quite a start. I know miscommunication and problems can happen when you travel, but management made the original mistake and offered neither an apology nor a kind word. We were shouted at and pushed around instead. That felt arrogant and like terrible customer service. I’ll never recommend this place to anyone.

It needs more space, and the heating doesn’t work properly. It’s not really suitable for snowboarders or skiers.

We were really happy with our stay and would love to come back. The apartment was new, cozy, clean, and modern, with a lovely terrace where we could relax after a day in the mountains. It’s right on Horní náměstí, in the heart of Rokytnice nad Jizerou, but the surroundings were still quiet. Getting to the larger slopes was easy, with the Skibus stop just a few minutes away on foot. The smaller Modrá hvězda slope was also a short walk away. It’s a great spot for skiers, or for anyone who wants to enjoy nature and the local atmosphere. Thank you!

The apartment had a few small issues, but a friendly suggestion got them sorted quickly. Breakfast was limited in variety, though there was enough and it was regularly replenished. By Czech standards, I’d call the accommodation good. We were satisfied and I’d definitely recommend it.
