I’d strongly suggest looking for another pension. The owners were incredibly unprofessional. Someone in our group has two children who came down with fevers, so we had to cancel for him at very short notice. We would have been willing to pay some kind of restitution if the owners had stayed civil. Instead, they screamed and yelled at my eight-month-pregnant wife and my mother-in-law. We had booked directly with them, with no contractual obligation to pay anything. They then went on about how I should pay because I’m American. When I showed my documents, the owner refused to accept them because it would inconvenience him. This violates Czech law. For the rest of the weekend we tried to avoid them, but several times we heard them complaining about our group and repeatedly calling us “the group with the foreigner.” Their rudeness and unprofessionalism put a damper on the whole holiday.

The owner was nice, and the hotel was amazing. It’s a little way from the city, but still within walking distance.

There’s a shared kitchen and your own fridge, and the accommodation is reasonably priced. You can’t cook, but a bus stop a few meters away takes you to the square in a few minutes, where there’s a shop or restaurant.

The owner was pleasant, and the guesthouse is well located, with a bus stop nearby and only a short walk to Rokytnice. The accommodation is decent and pleasant for the price, with a shared kitchen and seating in the restaurant for guests only. It’s a shame the restaurant doesn’t cook.

The rooms were clean, tidy, and nicely furnished, and the owner was quick to reply. It’s nice accommodation near the center of Rokytnice, more than enough for tourists heading to the mountains. The only downside is that there’s nowhere nearby to get a decent meal, though that isn’t the guesthouse’s fault. I recommend it.
