This worked really well for our school trip with nearly 40 children. The food was excellent and there was plenty, with the kids even able to go back for more. The staff were kind, helpful, and tolerant. A great fit for this kind of event.

We were drawn in by the promise of “quality Czech cuisine” and ate in the garden. Every one of the three Friday lunch dishes was pretty poor, like weak school food. The only reason I’m giving a star is the service, which was very friendly and helpful.

The location is a big plus, close to the Nine Rocks and other places to visit. We stayed two nights and were fairly satisfied, though the older building could use some renovation. One room had a shower tray that leaked straight into the room. After we noticed mold developing, we asked to move and were given a family room. It’s spacious, but lacks a bedside table, other storage, and a bigger wardrobe. The bathroom is tiny, but worked fine for us. There’s an unpleasant, heavy smell in the hallway, probably coming from the kitchen. The room was fine once we aired it out. Breakfast was okay, the usual pastries, eggs, sausages, vegetables, muesli, buns or pancakes, so there’s a choice for everyone.

The staff were accommodating and very helpful, and communication was excellent. You can eat at the restaurant in the guesthouse, and breakfast was excellent with plenty of options. The room furnishings are older, but everything was spotlessly clean and well cared for.
