There are few places to stay in Slavonice, and this is an excellent option. The hotel restaurant serves local food with excellent service, plus an astonishing wine list from its cave cellar. Just be aware there’s no air conditioning or heat from May-September. Slavonice itself is a tiny village, best suited to visitors interested in Renaissance architecture and Reformation art.

Right in the heart of town, on the main square, this charming boutique hotel feels like a hidden gem. The rooms are spacious and well fitted, and there’s a gourmet restaurant with a comprehensive wine cellar. Pavel, the owner/manager, is professional, friendly and attentive, and you’re quickly on a first-name basis with him.

The rooms were extremely quiet even though the hotel is on the town square. Slavonice may not be a prime tourist area, but we had a lovely, peaceful two-night stay here. The small restaurant is a treat for wine lovers.

The hotel sits right on the town square, in a small town that isn’t on the western tourist route. I spent two nights here as part of a group tour and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying. Paul, the manager/owner maybe, is awesome, and the customer service is #1. If you like wine, you’ll be in heaven. It was such a wonderful place.

Of the five places I’ve stayed in so far on this tour, this is my favorite. I was here for two nights with a group tour, just like someone mentioned in a review six years ago, and it’s still a wonderful place to stay. Excellent hotel, you won’t be disappointed. I agree with everything the other five-star reviewers have said.
