We slept really well, and spent a calm evening in the garden. The guesthouse itself is a beautiful, authentic building, with a garden that’s kept in impeccable condition. The hostess greeted us with a big smile and plenty of stories, and we felt at home straight away. It turned out to be a wonderful stay. If you want somewhere peaceful and relaxing, this place is a great fit. Thanks for such a warm welcome!

The outside looks idyllic, but once inside, the place felt worn, dirty, dusty, cluttered and smelly. The furnishings aren’t antique, just old, and what I first thought was charming clutter had changed my mind by the morning after our first night. The shower was impossible to set comfortably, either scalding or freezing. There was nowhere to put toiletries except the bathroom floor, and no bedside table, so things had to go on the floor beside the bed too. I’m not fussy about cleanliness and don’t need much, but for 5000,- for three nights I expected some care, and didn’t find it here. There wasn’t even a kettle or basic tableware like mugs. If you skip breakfast, which costs 150 CZK, you’re out of luck when it comes to making tea. Ping-pong costs another 100 CZK per hour, and other entertainment is charged extra as well. It’s pretty annoying to feel they’re trying every way to bring in more money because the accommodation price isn’t enough for them. I think the owner knows about these issues and doesn’t bother dealing with them. Why change anything if people keep booking? Someone always gets scammed. The location and condition of the accommodation aren’t worth it. That’s all from me.

We stayed in room no. 6, and really loved the place. The family has made the most of what was preserved from their ancestors, creating a magical, cozy atmosphere. Everything was clean and smelled lovely. Our room had a refrigerator, kettle, towels, a TV with basic channels and a USB option, and WiFi was available. There’s parking for each room, plus a spotless swimming pool. The owner was friendly, easy to talk to and helpful, and lent us glasses without any fuss. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, with lots to choose from. My husband and I highly recommend staying here, and plan to return to the Halovys 👍.

The pool was the only real plus. The accommodation was a big disappointment for the high price. There was dust and cobwebs, and lots of mosquitoes. The children were bitten badly, and the pharmacy even told us the bites were from bedbugs. Spiders and other bugs crawled around the rooms too. The beds were worn out, and the bedding smelled musty. The bathroom was in terrible shape, with mold around the shower stalls and nowhere to store toiletries. Water took about five minutes to come through, then was either cold or warm, with no way to mix it. There were lots of supposed antiques, but they were just old junk collecting dust. The small room fridge wasn’t enough for guests to store even a few basic things. There was a grill, but it was full of ash and filthy from previous users. Although I’d agreed with the owner that we’d use it, it hadn’t been cleaned. We had breakfast once. It was fresh and tasty, though a little expensive.
