The nearest grocery shops are in Bíla, so plan around that. There’s a small snack bar right across from the entrance. Also, the last roughly 10 km of road is currently closed to anyone without a forest permit. Print your accommodation confirmation at least, because police sometimes patrol there. We loved the stay, the nature and the views. Communication with the owners was absolutely great, glad there are still people like them :). Apartment No. 5 is really fully equipped. There were three of us women, and the only things we might have wanted were a full-length mirror in the hallway and a few more bathroom hooks :))).

The food was good. We tried pickled herring and caviar sausages. The herring tasted nice, but the sausage was the real find, probably from a local butcher. I haven’t had a sausage that good in a long time. Really tasty, I recommend it. It’s a nice place, and once the renovation is finished it’ll be great. There’s at least a kiosk for travelers to grab a small bite, with service that’s as fast and efficient as possible.

The apartment is right beside the Sulov restaurant, which is definitely a plus. It’s on Bílé Kříž, so the stare-hamry address can be misleading. We’d gladly come again. Nothing to complain about, except that getting there is a bit complicated and you need chains. The owners are very helpful and nice.

The map has it wrong: the apartment is marked as a different property. The apartments are at the hotels Sulov and Kysuca, about 8 km away. This isn’t Apartman Bíly Kříž. Someone needs to fix this.

Wonderful place to set off hiking in any direction. A little "dirty", though some people may appreciate that.
