We had a lovely Christmas stay and would like to come back in summer. The hotel is very close to the lake, though its facilities were closed for the off season. You can still take a stroll along the shore. The rooms are dated but clean, and you get what you pay for. Every room has a balcony. The bar isn’t trendy, but it’s well stocked and nice for coffee or light snacks. Staff were friendly and attentive.

The location has a lot going for it, just a few steps from Mácha’s lake, but the service and attitude made this a very bad customer experience. It felt like doing business in the 1980s, and the visit brought back the communist era, which wasn’t a good time for retail service. Breakfast was poor, and tables could be empty in the second half of the serving hours. Dinner had to be ordered a day ahead; portions were relatively small and likely to leave you hungry, with very little choice of salads or fruit. Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby. Service hours were very limited too: dinner ended at 19:30, and the bar only opened after 19:30. I think the place has much more potential than it’s making use of, but the employees’ attitude needs to change.

It’s a peaceful spot near a beautiful lake, which is a must-see. There’s also a supermarket not far away. The hotel needs remodeling, in my opinion, and the food didn’t meet my standards.

The staff were friendly, breakfast was fine, and the price was affordable. It was surprisingly clean and close to the main attraction. I’m a happy customer, with no complaints.
