The sauna was a real treat after a rainy day on the trail, and the modest wellness area suited us fine. We chose it as a stop on our beer trail, walking about 20 km from Horní Malá Úpa over Śnieżka, with a quick beer stop in Pec. The beer brewed on site was good, as was breakfast. We got in too late for restaurant food because we went to the sauna instead, so I can’t comment on the meals there. Our booked room wasn’t available when we arrived, and the replacement was a little smaller. Once the staff noticed, they did what they could to make sure we left happy. Mistakes happen, but owning one and making it right deserves respect.

The meal was good, but service took a long time. The waiter was doing everything he could, so it wasn’t his fault. They’re very clearly short-staffed.

We had such a good time here again on our second visit, both at the hotel and in the restaurant. The location is a dream, and everyone was friendly and professional. Even with less than perfect weather, we enjoyed the pool and sauna with our kids. The whole place has a relaxed, pleasant feel. Thanks, and keep it up!

Coming back tired after mountain hikes was a pleasure, with those views to greet us. Friesovy boudy is right in one of the most beautiful parts of the Czech Republic, with great prices and service. I enjoyed every minute and would recommend it to anyone looking for a stay in Krkonoše.

We’ll be back. The waiters were great, helpful, and fun, and we had some lovely beers. We watched an amazing sunset from the balcony, then returned in the morning to enjoy the outside terrace.
