You pay 200 CZK for the whole day, which feels inflated. Once I’ve hiked to the top and taken in the landscape, I wouldn’t stay all day, especially with everything closed. The other catch is that cash is the only way to pay, and you only find that out when leaving.

A short distance from Ještěd, and the cottage can be rented by larger groups. There’s plenty of room to make your own plans, with the pub, kitchen, grill and spacious shared areas at your disposal. Beer is only available after ordering, and it’s expensive. The location would be perfect for hospitality or hotel business, but it lies fallow.
