My bike was well looked after, and Mr. Martin’s tourist advice made my trip around Czech Republic really memorable. The owner was welcoming, cultivated, and friendly, and spoke English, which is rare in Czech Republic. Breakfast was simple and very good, especially the unforgettable poppy seed cake. The place has a romantic, rock-inspired 70s feel, with hanging plants, ruffles around the beds, antique furniture, and authentic Czech art. I was lucky to stay here. There’s also a little Romanian store in the same building, selling beers, wines, and guitars.

We had a really unpleasant experience trying to stay here on a business trip. My colleague and I arrived to check in at 18:30, while the pub was busy, and reception was at the bar. One of the owners handled check-in and asked for cash. My colleague wanted to pay by card, but the owner said that wasn’t possible. We offered euros instead, and those were refused too. The owner was nervous, unpleasant, and completely unprofessional. After a brief argument, my colleague went to get cash from an ATM. While I waited, the owner told me he wasn’t going to give us the room. When my colleague returned with the cash, the owner wouldn’t take it and said he wouldn’t accommodate us at all. A very strange and sad way to treat customers.

The facilities are amazing, and the location is great. The room was super clean and spacious, with a 70s feel. I’d love to stay here again.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect, just a two-minute walk from the main town square. We only stayed one night and enjoyed it. The room was basic, but clean and in good condition.
