The beer was excellent, and the landlady even made us dinner, though the guesthouse doesn’t offer cooking. We’d only booked one night for a business trip, and the remote location had us unsure at first. It turned out to be the opposite of what we expected.

We had a good night here. The breakfast was generous, the coffee was good, and the landlady was friendly. The place was nice and everything was fine. They aren’t cooking at the moment because of Covid, but you can enjoy a beer outside in the fresh air. Thank you.

The guesthouse was clean and nicely furnished, but the service was unpleasant. Cooking in the kitchen left the whole place smelling of burnt oil, even in the rooms. The natural surroundings are beautiful, though just behind the pension there’s an abandoned, run-down apartment building and an abandoned train station. If we came back, it would be for the nature alone. Also, Mariánské Lázně is almost twice as far away as the stated 9 km.

Poutnov looks as if time stopped there sometime in the 1950s. The guesthouse is almost the only decent, presentable building in the area. I don’t know how it operates, though.

The food was really enjoyable, and the owner was very nice. We stayed for three nights and were very satisfied. The room and the whole house were furnished beautifully. Thanks again.
