Pecka Penzion

We were there for a week with friends in winter. The price was fine and the cottage itself was okay, though there wasn't a proper shared room. The daily visits made the stay pretty miserable, though. In the morning Bába would scold us for not putting the sofa cushions back in place. If she didn't show up, Dědek would come instead, muttering insults under his breath and smelling bad. Then there were four broken glasses, an accident that can happen, and Bába charged us six hundred Czech-Slovak crowns, as she called it. If you don't enjoy femdom or being nagged by Bába first thing every morning, I can't recommend this cottage.

The cottage's location was the one thing we were happy with. The accommodation itself was clean and fairly nice, though nothing luxurious. We came with friends in winter 2023 and weren't told beforehand, either on the website or otherwise, that the landlady would come by once or twice a day. Had we known, we wouldn't have booked it. She checked on things every day, often first thing in the morning: how the dishes were washed, where the sofa cushions were, and whether we'd sorted the rubbish properly. If something wasn't to her liking, she scolded us. When she wasn't there, her husband came by. We couldn't even air the place out in peace. Once, while the windows were open, she walked past and shut them from outside. Halfway through the week, she told us her husband's friend and children would be staying in the apartment on the cottage's first floor. They shared the hallway and stairs with us. That was another unpleasant surprise. The owner said it was standard in the mountains, but the website should say that the cottage isn't a separate building rented entirely to one group, and that the landlady checks on it. There was no peace or real privacy with her and her husband around. We'll remember this visit, and our stay was really “a blast.”

Everything felt cared for and had a nice atmosphere, from the clean, comfortable facilities to the location. Parking was right at the cottage, which is in a very good spot. Many thanks to Mrs. Sittová.

She goes around the house checking things and leaves notes when something doesn't suit her. It makes you feel like a naughty kid at nature school, not a guest or customer. I haven't come across behavior like that in a long time.
