Chata Lesovna

I was shouted at for booking one person into a triple room, even though they don’t have single or twin rooms. I’ve stayed here once, and the staff were disgraceful. They shouldn’t be working in hospitality.

Really good.

Everything is self-service, which suits me well, and there’s parking right beside the cottage. The rooms are cozy and clean, and breakfast is self-service but perfectly sufficient. It’s also well placed, close to the cable car and brewery. Thanks, we’d be glad to come back.

The service was the biggest letdown. During our four-night stay, the staff were there every day, but our trash was never taken out and the towels weren’t changed. There was no hairdryer in the room either. Breakfast was the same each day, ham, cheese, and pastries that seemed a day old. We had four coffee capsules in the room, and only got more after I went looking for staff in the hallway. The cottage’s location beside the cable car to Sněžka is okay. The exterior doesn’t look like its Instagram presentation, though that’s minor compared with the other issues. Inside, Lesovna cottage has been renovated nicely and functionally, and everything is new. The terrace shown on the website, however, was in a very poor state: chairs scattered around, a crumpled plastic tablecloth held down with stones, and old drink bottles in the corners. It didn’t invite us to sit there for breakfast.
