The apartment is quiet at night, which made sleeping easy, and I appreciated the umbrella. It was functional and a decent size, with a good location for Prague's sights, about a two-minute walk from Charles bridge. There's no real character inside, though, and it wasn't especially cosy for winter. As someone from Scotland, I'd have liked blankets and a fire to come back to after being out in the cold. A few practical things were missing or tricky: dish towels in the kitchen, English TV, clearer English instructions for the oven, and extra pillows. The feather ones flatten out. Thicker bedroom curtains would also help.

I cancelled three weeks ahead because the airline cancelled my flight, but the hotel still refused to refund my booking. That feels deeply unfair when the disruption was outside my control and I gave so much notice. I found the refusal unacceptable and misleading, with no willingness to show goodwill in an exceptional situation. I won't book here again, and would tell others to read the cancellation policy carefully first.
