Heipark Tošovice

Dinner by the fireplace was the highlight for me: delicious roasted duck with local Czech pilsner, then a great dessert from the selection. My room was cozy and had a view of the well-prepared ski slope near Odry, which stayed busy late into the night under the floodlights. A lovely winter surprise.

The food was varied and tasty, with a breakfast buffet and three courses at dinner: soup, a hot dish and dessert. There’s enough to do around the hotel for a whole vacation, from skiing to a cycling track with a golf club. Set away from the city, the grounds are beautiful and quiet, so it feels like you can really rest. The rooms are lovely too, with air conditioning and blackout curtains on windows that open onto gorgeous views of the grounds. Heipark Hotel is definitely worth a visit. I hope I can come back one day 🥲

There’s plenty for kids to do, and the restaurant cooks well. It’s a good day out with a child, especially once they’re over about 3 years old. I found the payment system a bit confusing. You pay a set amount to use for activities, and on a one-time visit you might not spend all the credit. Apparently it stays valid for up to a year, so that shouldn’t be an issue for repeat visitors.

I only tried the swimming pool, so I can’t comment on the other attractions. The pool was nice, with a shallow area and a deeper end, and the ski slopes around it are beautiful. Food was the usual Czech swimming pool fare, hotdogs and that sort of thing.
