The owner was a really nice lady, and the guesthouse itself was great. Our room was spacious and clean, and the facilities were too. We’ll definitely be back.

We slept really well here. The whole place and surroundings were quiet, the mattress was comfortable, and the bedding and pillows were nice. There’s a bit of creaking from the wide metal bed, but it didn’t bother us. Sitting outside the apartment was pleasant too, with chairs, a table, and an umbrella. The pool water wasn’t very clean, though, so I skipped the refreshing dip I’d been looking forward to after a long drive. The apartment is in its own section of a farmhouse that’s being gradually renovated, so you get complete privacy. The large room is painted white and feels a little austere, but there’s plenty of storage and shelving, good lighting, and lamps beside the bed. More 220 V sockets would help: there was one by the beds and another high up near the ceiling light switch, where I put my laptop on the closet. I charged my camera battery in the kitchen. We hadn’t expected a fully equipped kitchen to be available, and there’s also a bathroom with a nice low shower that seals well, soft towels, and hot water from its own boiler. Finding the place took some effort. It’s in a tiny village with only a few houses, and a sign or name on the gate would make it easier to spot. We drove through three times before realizing house no. 10 was only reachable by going through the gate and into the garden of the house marked no. 8 😊. To make sure we were in the right place, we asked some other guests sitting in the garden. Once we arrived, there was safe parking in a private area, a large garden, and a pleasant, smiling gentleman to welcome us. We liked our stay anyway, the price is great, and we’d happily return for longer.

It’s a great starting point for bike rides and trips to castles and dams. The owner was very pleasant, and the place itself is tucked away “at the end of the world,” with loads of calm and quiet. There’s a huge garden, a pool, a pergola for grilling, and even a fireplace inside. Everything felt well thought out. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful place to relax while still having somewhere nice to set off on trips from.
