The boar svíčková was okay, though the meat was chewy and nothing special. Dessert was a letdown too: what they called a pancake was more like a deep-fried, donut-shaped thing. The fish platter had four kinds, and while the seasoning was good, every piece was badly overcooked and far too salty. The carp was dry and chewy, and the pike was hard and tasted only of salt. I suspect the fish may not have been cooked fresh and could have been sitting in the heat for a while.

Lunch was excellent, especially the carp dips with country salad. The WC was clean. I haven't tried the accommodation, maybe next time I'm visiting town from Prague.

The room, breakfast, and staff were lovely, but be careful about the parking deal. They tell you it's 80kc for the day if you leave by 10am the next morning. The parking guy then insists departure is at 9.00 and tries to charge another 80. Don't pay him, tell him to call the hotell.

I picked this hotel because it seemed cheaper than the others nearby. The problems mentioned in other reviews are real, otherwise I'd have given it five stars. But the food deserves ten stars and a full moon!

Cozy hotel, comfortable mattresses, quiet area, and friendly staff. Get to breakfast early, or the other guests might eat it all before you do :D
