Dinner was a highlight, with very good food and a superb wine selection. Breakfast is more basic, though the fresh croissants are excellent. The rooms are good-sized, and the old building has been rebuilt with real attention to detail. It’s a special place close to Prague airport, full of character and history. Ludo and Isabella, the owners and hosts at Auberge de Provence, made the stay especially memorable. They’re friendly, helpful, and have plenty of stories to share. The main drawback is the stairs to the upper floors, which can make getting to your room difficult with heavy luggage. Hopefully the owner can get permission to add some kind of elevator. Until then, travel light or leave the heavy bags in your car.

The host is really nice, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and cozy. I love the unusual interior design, with the designer mixing wood, stone, and metal. It has a special cottage-style feel, and I love it.

The apartment is very large, about 50 square meters, with two bedrooms and a big living room. It was very clean, and the sheets were very good. The beds were OK, while the toilet was good. Service was good, there’s free parking, and the price is good for this kind of accommodation. It’s a 16th-century old monastery rebuilt as a hotel. The airport is about 10 minutes away by car, and the city center is around 15 km, or 25 minutes by car.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is lovely, and even though it’s near the airport, it’s very quiet. The owner also works as Chef de Cuisine and designed the rooms. Five reliable stars, and thanks a lot!

The food was delicious, and the owner has done a wonderful job with the place. This building and the person behind it both have a soul. I rarely get excited about buildings or people, but something about this place spoke to me. It’s amazing.
