Our one-night stay in February 2026 was disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend this place. The apartment is beside the owner's garage/workshop, so machinery could be noisy. Privacy was poor too, with curtains missing in places or so see-through you could look straight through them. We knew the place was on a slope, but the way in was a steep, icy, unlit descent. It felt dangerous, especially for older guests or anyone with physical disabilities, and we had to use it several times a day. With luggage, skis, or dogs it was practically impossible. There was no lighting or flashlight. Inside, basic safety and hygiene were lacking: mouse poison on a sideboard, mold on the fridge and walls, broken windows, too little heat in the toilet, and a fireplace that didn't work properly. We lost a whole vacation day because of this and had to find somewhere else ourselves. It was difficult to get help from Booking.com. The listing and its high ratings on Booking.com give a misleading impression. I'd advise people to stay away, especially older guests and people with physical disabilities.

We felt very comfortable here and would gladly return. The apartment was spotless and really well equipped, and parking was easy. It's an authentic place, and the host was pleasant, helpful, and genuinely interested in his guests. Thanks so much for a perfect stay!

We slept wonderfully here, and after hiking or skiing it's lovely to light the wood-burning stove. The owner enjoys woodworking and is always happy to chat. The place sits on a hill across from the Bubakov-Herlikovice slope, about a 15-minute drive or bus ride from Spindleruv Mlyn. A peaceful spot, and we'll definitely come back if we're in the Czech Republic again.

It's clean, and the owner is friendly and speaks good German. Just be aware the space is small for six: there are two rooms, and one is the kitchen, where one person sleeps.
