The modest room was worth one star on its own. There's no fridge, and most TV channels don't work. The breakfast is at another hotel, which we couldn't reach. There was no one at reception and ringing the bell got no answer, so we had to wait for another guest to let us in. The breakfast selection was poor, the scrambled eggs were cold, and there wasn't much to choose from. The juice ran out halfway through and wasn't available to us after that. The receptionist could have been more cheerful and shown more interest in guests.

For three nights, we paid what an average hotel in Prague would cost, but this was the worst accommodation we've experienced. The room was 2x2m and cost 400,-/person, with the toilet across the corridor. There was no fridge or kettle, no kitchenette or reception, and after 8pm everything shuts, so there was no chance of food or coffee. The Wi-Fi didn't work. The building had no trash cans, and nobody came to clean or even empty the one tiny bin in the room. We had an 8m baby with us, and without our own kettle we couldn't prepare anything for him. Breakfast was 150,-/person. If you weren't first down at 8am, all that was left was ham and 2 slices of cheese, and nobody replenished it. The staff seemed willing enough, but the building was totally empty. The guesthouse belongs to the Frantz hotel.

We had a ground-floor room for 7 people, though it was only suitable for max 4, and there was hardly any storage. The room smelled like stinky socks. There was a running kettle but no mugs, so we had to buy dishes. The large hallway where we kept our bikes was the only good point. The price and quality didn't match at all, and I wouldn't stay here again.

For the price and location, I didn't expect five-star accommodation, and the place was beautifully clean. We knew when booking that the toilet was outside the room, so that wasn't an issue. People who don't read the details may find that a problem, and the more expensive option has a normal setup. The shower and sink being together in the shower area surprised me a little, but it works. The mattress was a bit softer than I like, though that's personal preference.
