Thamm Hotel Praded

A little snow helped make the whole vacation feel especially lovely. The Christmas Eve dinner was generous, and there were so many good things that I could hardly try them all. The sauna, swimming pool and bowling alley were clean, comfortable and well kept. Our room and adjoining bathroom were more than satisfactory, and the service from breakfast onward was very professional. Those nine days in Zlaté Hory were exciting, and we'll definitely come back. Jana and George, the owners, were wonderful from the moment we arrived and stayed helpful the whole time. Our rooms were spacious, very clean and well equipped, including the necessary fand for us southern hemisphere folk. Breakfast brought an exceptional spread each day, and the kitchen staff were exceptionally attentive. Dinner choices were plentiful and delicious. The chef and team deserve a high five, especially on busy nights with extra visitors and other functions. The reception team were accommodating and patient with the language barrier. We stop by now and then for bowling and beer. The beer is good, and the service is always pleasant. There are two bowling play rows, parking is easy, and an ice-skating place is nearby. The bus station is very close too, and there's excellent ice cream at a nearby crossroads.

This was our fifth visit, but our first since the new owners took over. They've made several nice changes, including to the interior and the breakfast tables. The wellness area is lovely, and there are two bowling lanes with their own bar. The food is really tasty. Even if you're just passing through town, it's worth stopping in for lunch or dinner.
