Africa House

We especially enjoyed having a private balcony, where we could sip morning coffee while looking out at nature. Parking was easy, too. The staff were warm, helpful, and always smiling, and we felt welcomed as guests. We stayed as a couple over the Vizovice Festival for a romantic weekend, and it became an experience we won't forget. The room felt cozy, with thoughtful details that made it easy to unwind. Its atmosphere even gave us a brief feeling of being in Africa, while still having the comforts of home. We'd recommend it to couples after a quiet, special, authentic getaway ❤️

The kids loved the playground, and we also made use of the well-equipped kitchen. There's space to light a fire and roast sausages or use the grill. We even had the place to ourselves for one night. It's a quiet spot at the edge of the forest, surrounded by nature, with ZOO Lešná and central Zlín both nearby. The guesthouse is well equipped and exceptionally clean. The photos, paintings, and African-themed decorations are lovely. We didn't mind that there was no on-site service.

The kids could easily keep busy at the cottage and in the forest next door, and Zlín Zoo is also worth a visit, about half an hour away by car. There's a great outdoor playground with climbing equipment, and the rooms each have an African animal theme. It's a great place for families. My one suggestion would be to add window screens: there were lots of insects in the evening, and the rooms felt stuffy, so we had to leave the windows open.

The BAOBAB tent sits in the forest, which suits it perfectly and gives the place a unique feel. The trees also keep it partly shaded, so even in very hot weather it stayed pleasant without needing to deal with heat or run the air conditioning. Inside, the rooms and attached facilities are generously equipped, with lovely African-style furniture and decor, a kitchen, and a bathroom. You have your own sitting area, and the hotel building's shared facilities include a grill and fireplace. The staff were pleasant to deal with. This was the last of three places we stayed on our holiday, and leaving it until then worked out really well. Shops and restaurants are a little out of the way, but driving is an option, and we ordered rolls, for instance.
