The front office staff provided excellent service, and I’d stay here again on my next visit to Zlin. It’s a great business hotel, with large, airy rooms and good amenities. The breakfast spread was excellent too.

The front desk shuts at 10 p.m., so arriving after that means you can’t check in. It’s a basic, clean hotel, with an average breakfast, just enough for a business trip. The price seemed to vary between guests, so sometimes you may find a place in the center with better conditions for the same price.

It’s in a quiet area, with outdoor parking, and there’s a book of trips for exploring Zlin, Kromeriz, or ZOO Lesna. The staff and management were welcoming and accommodating. Reception can arrange wake-up calls, transport, or a rental at a nearby gym, and they’re happy to answer questions. The rooms are big, clean, and comfortable, with TVs and a choice of soft, medium, or hard pillows. Pets are welcome. There’s a sauna and a laundry room for a fee. Breakfast runs from 8 to 10:30 a.m. and was tasty, with eggs, beans, cheese, salami, pastries, muesli, sweets, three kinds of juice, and a coffee machine. A gem in Zlin, and I had a very pleasant stay.

I wouldn’t recommend booking this hotel. It was a very disappointing stay. The interior looks about 50 years old and doesn’t seem maintained. I booked a “business room,” but the bathroom was tiny, the hangers were broken, there were no mirror lights or fan, and the small fridge on the floor was empty except for mould. At 8 a.m. the breakfast tables were all uncleared; I had to ask and wait 10 minutes. Almost all the food was gone, there was hardly any bread, and the selection was poor, so I skipped breakfast. The steam room wasn’t working. The homepage and desk information said the sauna was free for guests from 6:30 to 8 p.m., but when I tried again on Tuesday, I was told it wasn’t available that day because of a private reservation, even though I could hear people in the sauna. The girl at the desk barely spoke any language other than Czech. Used coffee cups and glasses weren’t taken away, and the TV only had Czech channels.
