Rezidence Zvon

Really nice rooms in a great spot, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was great, and the place was very nice and clean.

Nice.

Breakfast was fine, just the basics, nothing special. For the price of one night, with everything else we experienced, I'd only pay half. At least I'm wiser now, and sadly we won't be coming back. The bathroom wasn't clean, there was dust in several places, and it smelled of urine. Before our stay, I asked the staff about parking, but got no answer. Instead, they sent me “Alfred,” some sort of AI check-in guide that didn't address my question at all. On arrival we were told to find a spot near the square. In the end I drove to a roundabout outside the city center, where free weekend parking is available under certain conditions, though there are plenty of spaces and it's usually full. At reception, I waited almost ten minutes before anyone appeared. Even after they saw me, it took a while for them to speak to me. After a two-hour trip with my wife and one-year-old, it wasn't a nice welcome. The staff seemed very strange, as if under the influence of something, and didn't know I was due between 13-14. The receptionist got the day wrong, thinking it was Sunday until I pointed out it was Saturday. Our room wasn't ready or fully cleaned, which I've never experienced elsewhere, so we waited about 20 minutes to check in. The owner, judging by the Austrian accent, seemed strange too. I requested a baby cot when booking on Booking, but it wasn't there on arrival. They brought one after I asked, then wanted an extra payment on the side. It had been put together in a hurry and wasn't folded correctly.
