The location works well, with buses stopping right outside, and Aachen and Vaales are both interesting places not far away. The rooms are clean and tidy, though pretty bare in how they’re presented. My mattress was fine, but not what I’d expect at a four- or five-star place. I had a shared bathroom, which was simple, clean, and practical. For a reasonable location and a clean bed, it suits, as long as you’re not looking for five-star accommodation. Three stars for value.

The staff are very nice and make an effort. You get a bed, a shower, and breakfast for a little extra, and at €48 a night I think that’s fair. The rooms are clean but furnished very simply, and the building and hallways feel old and not much like a hotel. It’s a moderate place, but for that price you can’t expect a lot more.

A decent spot for a short Aachen getaway. For the price, everything is very okay 👍
