Hotel Rosenpark Laurensberg

I’ve been visiting for many years, and being part of a retirement house hasn’t affected the quality of service. The rooms are always clean and in good condition, and staff are accommodating with different requests. Breakfast is consistently great, and I can’t fault the quality. In summer, the crowd in the trees can get noisy after sunset, though you get used to it.

The room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast buffet was good, but there were several problems. There was no WiFi in the rooms, so getting online meant going down to the lobby, where people were coming and going and loud music made it uncomfortable to work or study. The rooms are in a separate building from the lobby, which wasn’t a big issue in itself. We also found no soap or shampoo. When I raised it with staff, they gave silly excuses instead of fixing it. The receptionist, especially at checkout, wasn’t very friendly or professional. A more welcoming, professional manner would make guests feel valued. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel and don’t think I’ll stay again.

The rooms were large and in a quiet area, but they were shabby, dirty, and not ready on time. The hotel was understaffed, so the restaurant was closed, and breakfast was made up of the cheapest products they could find. It’s a shame, as the place could be much nicer. Poor value for money, and I won’t return.

We had a comfortable stay, enjoyed the breakfast, and found the staff helpful and friendly.
