Best Western Hotel Achim Bremen

A decent stop for a night while driving from A to B. Parking is free, and you can get breakfast for an extra 15€ per person, though there isn't a restaurant. We ordered Uber Eats from a nearby Indian place and that worked out well. The woman at the hotel was helpful and lovely. I also liked the big range of drinks and snacks in the lobby.

The room itself wasn't so bad, but the staff made the stay awful. They were grumpy and not helpful, and the manager seemed to have a gift for arguing and making things worse. The lift was out of order for guests while hotel staff used it, so everyone else had to haul luggage up to the fourth floor. Breakfast was meant to run until 10, but there was no food after 9:30 because they didn't want to prepare more for later arrivals. It tasted so bad I had to go into town to eat. This place could be good if they changed the crew, starting with the manager. I can't recommend it.

For breakfast the next morning we went to the nearby kebab place, Medina, which was crazy good. The hotel's own breakfast was the worst part: the eggs smelled bad, food was missing half an hour before breakfast ended, and the staff were rude when asked about it. Our group of 60 had twice as much luggage, and the lift was supposedly broken for us, though staff could ride it. The room smelled like it hadn't been aired out, there were lots of silverfish in the bathroom, the heating didn't work, and many things were out of order. An unpleasant stay, but definitely an experience I'll remember. Love from Kiribati, Karol.

After just one night, I hope I never have to return. The room smelled moldy, and we weren't keen to use the shower. Staff said the lift was broken, although they still used it. Breakfast was supposed to run until 10, but service stopped after 9:30. At 10:03 a staff member forcefully pulled the tea cup from my hand while I was drinking and shouted something in German. They even try to charge for a glass of tap water at reception. The customer service was at the lowest level.
