Vital Hotel Adendorf

Definitely not worth the money, and absolutely not recommended. The rooms are noisy, cobwebs hang from the ceiling, and the TV channels aren’t tuned in. There isn’t even a bathroom or sink in any of the rooms. The advertised mineral water was Aldi-Quellbrunn medium mineral water, priced at €0.19. The keys felt more like laundromat keys than hotel keys. It reminds me of a certain establishment. This is not a hotel!

If you’re happy getting up early, this might be the place for you. My room had an incredibly varied noise level, from water pipes and flushing toilets to guests slamming doors instead of using the handle to close them. The room could also have done with a good vacuuming.

Evenings at the sauna are a nice way to relax. It never gets too crowded and has a cozy atmosphere. The outdoor pool is available in summer too. I go elsewhere for the gym, but you can use it here, and it’s included in the price.

We couldn’t find any staff anywhere in the building, including the entrance, changing rooms, showers, sauna, or fitness area. The door was open, so it seemed like anyone could just wander in. The entrance area looks like it does in the photos, and the showers and changing rooms weren’t inviting. In the men’s shower, green liquid was running down the wall. That’s not what we consider a relaxing area. Given the situation, we couldn’t and didn’t want to use the sauna, so we went to the neighboring one instead. Luckily, Alcedo is close by, so we did eventually get to enjoy a sauna and the trip wasn’t a complete waste.
