Good value if you're travelling on a budget. The place is clean and the available parking is perfect. It can be noisy with the railway so close.

The rooms were a good size for the price, whether double or single, and the bathrooms were spacious enough. We booked several rooms for one night while travelling on, and the staff were really friendly. The kitchens felt bare, though, and would need more utensils for anyone staying longer. The main problems were cleanliness and noise. There was no mattress cover, just a blanket, which slipped off overnight and exposed stains. We found hairs on the double room's toilet seat and in its shower, and one shower curtain had been left on the floor for us to put up. The shower pressure was weak, so rinsing my long hair took ages. The rooms were warm, and with the railway running beside the property all day and night, opening a window meant very little sleep. With windows shut the trains were quieter, but the room became like an oven. Bring earplugs if you stay here. Finding the entrance after dark was hard because there was no lighting and the sign wasn't visible enough. The parking area was tiny, narrow, messy, and looked a bit dodgy. We worried about our car, especially with a roof box, and had a hard time manoeuvring our big vehicle around. Nothing happened to it in the end. For the price, the hygiene was mostly okay apart from the mattress, and it looked like they were trying to renovate. Still, the stains, hairs, and curtain made the place feel dirty. We'd rate the rooms 4/5, room and general hotel cleanliness 3/5, noise and location 1/5, parking 2/5, and price and friendliness 4/5.

The value for the money is hard to beat. Staff were helpful in general, and the room cleaner stood out for being respectful and careful about keeping everything tidy and clean. That helped make my stay pleasant.

Getting to places was easy, with a bus stop less than a minute away and good links to regional roads and the highways. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was great for the price. I had a superb stay.
