Landhaus Muller

We left with a good impression of the restaurant, especially since we were cold and hungry. The place is cozy, the atmosphere is nice, and the staff are very friendly. The food could be better, though. The goulash soup wasn't warmed through properly, and everything was very salty.

We were a family group of eight on a bike trip and stopped here for lunch. My sister has a severe milk allergy and told the waitress when ordering. She was assured the fish could be made without butter. When another waitress brought it, the fish was clearly covered in butter. She got annoyed when we raised the allergy and asked why we hadn't mentioned it, even though we had. She insisted there was no butter, but later checked with the kitchen and found a version without it. By then my sister didn't trust that they understood the allergy. She asked whether the breading might contain Parmesan, as it sometimes does. The woman stayed snippy and made her feel uncomfortable, then checked with the kitchen and assured her there were no milk ingredients in the breading. My sister ate the fish and was throwing up within 15 minutes. She vomited eight times while biking up the mountain that day. Please know what's in the food and take customers' allergies seriously. If you were wondering why our table didn't tip, my sister had already thrown up twice before we left the restaurant.

I wasn't staying at the hotel, just came for dinner, and really enjoyed it. The food was carefully prepared, delicious, and not overly fancy. It was white asparagus season, and the portions were generous, as were the glasses of wine. The staff were friendly, though a little reserved. I'd gladly return when I'm in the area.

Our room was clean and breakfast was nice. The staff were really kind, waited longer than they needed to, and even helped us when our bike broke. I can recommend the place.
