We only stopped for lunch and a couple of drinks while walking around, not to stay at the hotel. Service was quick and very helpful, especially with the menu since our German is basically zero. We had a relaxed couple of beers from the brewery next door and a turkey salad, as it was too hot for a bigger meal. The other dinners looked good, too. Prices weren’t silly. Thanks!

A proper old-school experience, with the waiter in traditional dress and hearty German food. The kids’ menu could maybe do with some greens.

The main courses were fresh and very nice, and the bouillon soup was simple but lovely. Service was excellent and very friendly.

The daily specials were as good-looking as the rest of the food, with generous servings at very affordable prices. The beer is naturally great, with the brewery right next door. We ate in the beer garden on a sunny spring day, under patchy shade from the trees that should give fuller cover in summer. The only thing keeping this from five stars is the central location beside a main road and railway line, though traffic on both is hardly a problem.
